New Zealand

10 photos that will make you want to visit New Zealand

Ah, New Zealand. There is so much to say about this unbelievable country. From the turquoise yet still perfectly clear water, to the fields of purple and yellow wild flowers that the align the roads. New Zealand has every bit of beautiful scenery you could ask for in a country.

When I visited, I unfortunately only had 10 days to work with, so I decided to spend my time on the south island. The south island is known for its mountainous landscape and scenery, and it certainly did not disappoint. To put it bluntly, I was absolutely speechless at the beauty that I saw. It was purely breath-taking. Even though I have already visited, New Zealand is a priority for me to get back to. I feel so inclined to visit again and properly explore the more amazing sights this country has to offer.

Believe it or not, I took this photo while I was on a moving bus. The way Mt. Cook was reflecting on Mt. Pukaki was just awe inspiring.

Just a short hike up Queenstown hill and you will be treated with this insane backdrop. I know, it looks too good to be true.

I wish I could say that this was my view from my sky dive, however it got canceled 2 hours before because of the wind 🙁 Fortunately, it was partly cloudy the day I flew in and I had a window seat, so I was able to snap this photo of my view from the plane while flying into Queenstown.

Quick pitstop outside of Te Anau, on our way to Milford Sound. Apparently, it is usually always rainy or foggy along this drive and in Milford Sound, which made the photos extra dramatic and almost a bit spooky.

Milford Sound in all its natural glory. Several dramatic waterfalls align the walls and make for a stunning sight.

A bit of blue sky emerges through the clouds that usually engulf Milford Sound. Sailing through the passageways and feeling so small compared to the mountains that surrounded me was extremely humbling.

Another shot on our way to Fiordland National Park. Everywhere you look there is beauty.

Wanaka Lake’s turquoise waters are easy on the eyes. Loving all of the shades of blue in this photo.

Another shot taken while on a moving bus; yellow wild flowers grow along the countryside. I eventually put my book away and accepted the fact that my eyes needed to be glued to the window, or else I would miss views like this.

Lake Tekapo sights. These purple wild flowers are called Lupins and they were everywhere surrounding this lake! It looked like something out of a fairytale.

I hope these photos inspired you to visit this insanely picturesque country, I know they left me with a feeling of longing to return. My goal is to one day come back to New Zealand and road trip as much of the country as I can, stopping anywhere my heart desires to take in all that it has to offer.
