A Bachelorette’s guide to Nashville

Nashville bachelorette party

Nashville has quickly ranked as the number one spot in America to have a bachelorette party, stealing the coveted spot from Las Vegas. Although Nashville is the perfect place to celebrate your last moments as a single gal, theres no excuse needed to visit this booming city. Nashville is the perfect combination of old and rustic southern charm, with a young and trendy vibe. It’s an upcoming city with plenty to do and see, and if you like live music, you will be in rock n’ roll heaven.

Bar hopping downtown

One of the most fun things you can do in Nashville is go bar hopping on and around Broadway Street in downtown Nashville. Walking down Broadway will make you feel like you’ve just stepped back in time to the 1950’s. Old brick buildings line the street, and worn off signs of old factories and stores still remain intact. They are weathered, but there, nonetheless, to remind you of what this city used to look like. Bars and boot shops now line this street, and the live music can be heard from far away.

For three floors of live country music, flowing beer, and dancing, check out Honkey Tonk Central. Honkey Tonk is lively all day every day until late at night. Hungry? Grab some food and drinks at Acme Feed and Seed. Dance to the live band on the bottom floor, and enjoy the 3rd floor rooftop views of the wild street below, Nissan Stadium, and the Cumberland River.  Want to learn how to line dance? Wild Horse Saloon has got you covered. Watch your favorite country stars play here and get FREE line dancing lessons while you’re at it.

Brunching

Whats a Saturday or Sunday morning if you aren’t brunching, right? There are plenty amazing breakfast places to chose from in Nashville. However, if your party is big, try to pick a place that will take a reservation, as they are usually packed. Check out the Gulch area of Nashville for restaurants like Biscuit Love, Saint Anejo, and Adele’s. If you’re more close to downtown, Pinewood Social is the place to be. As aesthetically pleasing as it is delicious, the Pinewood Social knows how to make a mean crema cuban, and serve up breakfast in style. It even boasts the cutest old fashion bowling alley, just incase you’re feeling for a bit of exercise after your meal. For the best pancakes in town, head to the Pancake Pantry. This was once a local spot, but has now become the talk of the town after Taylor Swift raved about it being one of her favorite breakfast places.

Sightseeing

Nashville has come to be known as “Music City” for its famous artists that started their careers here. If you’re a Johnny Cash fan, you’re in for a treat. There’s an entire museum dedicated to him and his career in Downtown Nashville. If you’re a country buff, look out for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Another must see is the Ryman Auditorium, otherwise known as the original home of Grand Ole Opry. This historic venue has hosted artists and historic figures such as Johnny Cash, Teddy Roosevelt, and even Harry Houdini. The Grand Ole Opry now has a new home next to the Grand Ole Opry Gaylord Hotel and Conference Center.

Fun things to do

If you want to take the drinking and partying to the streets- literally, book a seat on Nashville’s famous Pedal Bikes. With plenty of companies to chose from, you can sit on what looks like an old trolly cart and pedal your way around Nashville while drinking and singing to your favorite music. Not up for the physical activity? Hitch a ride on a party wagon. Thats right, a tractor will take you on a tour of the city. Just make sure to BYOB.

Although there are plenty of places to get a good buzz going in Nashville, this one in particular will give you a break from the bars.  Arrington Vineyards is located only 25 minutes outside of the city, and is a great place to relax, enjoy a wine tasting, and take in the views of the picturesque rolling hills of Tennessee.

Want to burn off all those beer calories? Take a pole dancing class! Surely a bachelorette party isn’t complete without it! Nashville has multiple spots that offer pole dancing classes that are pretty much made for bachelorette parties. Expect free champagne, lots of fun, and a good SEXY upper body workout.

Where to eat

There are many amazing restaurants in the heart of Nashville. The question is, where do you look first? I highly recommend to check out The Listening Room. This was a restaurant unlike anything i’ve ever been to. Book a ticket for either a 6pm or 8pm show, and listen to artists play their music while you enjoy casual food and drinks. The reason why I liked this place so much is because it’s not like your normal restaurant. The Listening Room is a show, so you have to keep quiet and really listen and enjoy the live music. Locals and tourists flock to this place, so make sure to book your tickets in advance to get a seat! For a fun, casual, and unusual dining experience, go to Paradise Park Trailer Restaurant. Its exactly what it sounds like, a restaurant that is themed like a trailer park! Only in Nashville! For more bars and restaurants, 12th Avenue South is the place to be.
